Luke — Glow in the Dark Dildo

Looking for a new dildo with a realistic shape sporting a non-realistic color? How about one that glows in the dark? Meet Luke, one of the new toys in the Addiction series from BMS Factory. This week I’m reviewing this dildo for Peepshow Toys.

Just on appearances, I’d have to give high marks to this dildo if you’re in the market for something realistically shaped. It’s a 7.5 inch dildo, from the glans-like tip to the suction cup base that’s seated just beyond the balls. The insertable portion of Luke runs about 5.5 inches. With a maximum diameter of 1.6 inches, Luke isn’t the biggest boy out there, but it’s still a nice size for someone looking for a realistic dildo.

The detailing is my favorite part. The glans are nice and defined, with a slightly raised ridge around the bottom edge, which offers a swollen feel as you push this toy inside your hole. Just under the tip is a pretty deep groove that separates the glans from the shaft and offers an interesting sensation during penetration. The upper half of Luke’s shaft is the thickest part of the toy and is also snaked with raised veins for added texture. As you reach the bottom end of the shaft, it grows slightly less thick and bottoms out against a very firm set of balls. These not only add to the realistic look of the dildo, but it provides an anal-safe base for the toy.

Peepshow Toys makes an effort to stock toys that are body-safe, so this solid silicone dildo fits right in with their collection. The silicone itself is a light blue color and is accented with light silver streaks to give the cock a marbleized look. While the color job doesn’t have the eye appeal of some of the other dildos I’ve recently reviewed (like this one, or this one), this dildo is a good choice for someone who is looking for something a little more affordable (but made of silicone) and prefers a non-realistic color while enjoying a very representational phallic shape.

As you’ve probably gathered from the title (not to mention my opening line), the Luke dildo glows in the dark. I’ve never owned a glow in the dark sex toy before (though I do have a jockstrap with glow in the dark accents I pull on from time to time), but I’ve noticed more companies, especially the ones who handcraft sex toys, have been offering them. To properly activate the glowing feature, you must expose the dildo to light. The longer you do this — and the brighter the light source — the longer this toy will glow. I actually didn’t have high hopes for the glowing feature, but even after a short time on my sunny windowsill, Luke glowed a happy greenish-blue during my first use, and kept the glow the entire time. I don’t normally try out sex toys with the lights off, but in this case it seemed appropriate. If the glow in the dark thing is something you enjoy, I’d definitely give this one a try. I have a fuck buddy who enjoys after-midnight encounters with the lights off, so leaving the charged-up Luke glowing on the table beside the bed gave him something else to play with. While illuminated, it’s definitely easy to locate in the dark!

Using the Luke required a little more lube than usual. Scratch that. Using the Luke required way more lube than usual. The silicone used in this thing is very firm. True, the dildo will bend if you want it to, but it’s still a pretty stiff dick. In addition to the firmness, the aforementioned veins, grooves and knobs give you a toy that you can feel inch by inch. You need to make sure the toy is well lubricated before starting to work this one in. And make sure whatever orifice you’re going to use it in is well lubed too.

A few other points about the Luke glow in the dark dildo: being made of silicone, it’s easy to clean and has no odor whatsoever. For a nice warm sensation during penetration, try running the dildo under hot water before using it. The material retains warmth nicely. The suction cup on the base works great! I’m not normally that into suction cups, but this one works really well. Place it on a smooth wall or floor and enjoy the ride. Even works well on a smooth chair. Also, BMS Factory has indicated on the packaging that Luke is “compatible with most harnesses.”

The final verdict on this one? I loved the visual design. The glans, the ridges, the veined shaft bottoming out in tight balls all looked very appealing to me. The glow in the dark feature was fun. It’s not something I’d want to mess with all the time, but it does add a touch of whimsy. The size is pretty perfect. It’s hard to find realistically-shaped dildos that aren’t overly long and/or very thick. I would have liked the silicone to be a little softer, but those who love firm dildos will probably enjoy this one. I must say that bearing down on this solid toy during climax felt great and it gave me larger than usual ejaculations, which is typical when I use firmer toys.

All in all, I’m not sure Luke is perfect for everyone, but I think a lot of you will find this one fun. Now go turn off the lights and work on that glow! (And don’t forget the lube!!) Find the Luke glow in the dark dildo at Peepshow Toys:
