Work-it Charged Cock Ring from Screaming O

Screaming O is the company behind some of my all-time favorite cock rings, like the Ring O, the Big O 2 double vibrating ring, and the Ring O Ranglers. Recently, they’ve created a line of high end rechargeable vibrating toys and cock rings, one of which is the Work-it. Peepshow Toys just started carrying this cock ring and asked if I’d like to review it.

The Work-it cock ring is one of the Screaming O Charged collection, all of which feature rechargeable vibrators. Tired of having to replace batteries in your vibrating toys? The Charged collection might just be for you. Not only can you easily charge this toy up, but the vibrator in this thing is pretty intense! Unlike most vibrating cock rings, the Work-it has a long angled vibrator that protrudes from a fairly stretchy cock ring. If you’re just looking for something compact and not too bulky, you might want to take a look at another one of Screaming O’s Charged rings, like the Skootch. But if you and your partner really enjoy adding vibrations to your sex play, what could be more fun than a larger vibrator that you can wear around your cock?

Before slipping on the Work-it, you’re going to want to charge it. Included is a charging cable that plugs into any USB port. Push the metal prong on the other end of the cord into the pinhole inside the O on the Screaming O logo (look for it on the side of your ring). Once inserted, a solid red light comes on to indicate the vibrator is charging. Once the light turns off, your Work-it ring is ready to go. A single charge should give you an hour (or more) of play.

The ring is made of silicone, which makes it body safe, nice and smooth, and odor free. Unstretched, the inner diameter of the ring is just over an inch. Even though the ring is fairly thin, it has some decent stretch. Typically, I can’t get my (big) balls through these luxury vibrating rings and I’m forced to wear them around the base of my shaft, which I really don’t enjoy. What’s the point of having a vibrating cock ring if you can’t aim the business end at your taint or let it rest against the back of your balls? I’m glad the Work-it could be worn the traditional way, because the vibrator itself is long (about 3.5 inches) and shaped kind of like a tongue. I’m a little concerned about how the thin ring will hold up over time with repeated stretchings/wearings, but so far it’s held up fine. The last thing you’d want to happen is to have the ring break like a rubber band and leave you with a high-end cock ring that you can’t actually wear more than a few times. I’ll be sure to come back and update this review to let everyone know how the Work-it is holding up over repeated uses.

Now just because I enjoy wearing a ring like this so it rubs against my balls, the Work-it is versatile enough to wear a variety of different ways. You can wear it like a ball stretcher and point it between your legs or have it sticking out for your partner to enjoy during foreplay or intercourse. Either way tickles the balls so nicely, even when you’re on the receiving end of a blowjob. Just because I don’t enjoy having a ring around my shaft, doesn’t mean you don’t! Strap it into place and hold the tongue-shaped vibe against the length of your shaft. Makes a great sensation during solo jack sessions, and – by twisting it around so the vibrator rests above your cock – you can have your partner grind or rub against the vibe during penetration. The ring is snug enough – at least for me – to put just under my glans, which gives a very nice head and/or frenulum massage while the vibrator is rumbling away on your favorite setting.

Just how many settings does this thing have? Glad you asked! There are 10 different levels of intensity, which are easily cycled through by using one of the two buttons on the side of the ring. One of my favorite things about the Work-it is the lower power settings are actually low! Yes! A vibrating cock ring that doesn’t have 8, 10 or 15 “different” settings that are all brain janglers. Don’t get me wrong. I like a nice powerful vibe, and Screaming O has put some pretty powerful settings on this one, but it’s so nice to have a few fairly gentle settings for when you want to start slow and build up, or come down from something more intense. I’d go as far to say that the array of vibration intensities is the Work-it’s best feature. It’s definitely the vibrating ring with the most variety, at least of the ones I’ve tried.

Do you enjoy more than just steady vibrations? You’re in luck! While the steady vibes are good, Screaming O has added ten different pulse patterns as well. There’s a little chart in the instruction booklet that you might want to reference if you’re looking for a specific pattern. I can never get the hang of these things when there are many options to pick from. I’m the one who just straps it on and cycles through the patterns while being revved to near-climax, hoping that when I try to downshift I don’t accidentally send the vibe into hyperdrive and go past the point of no return.

Due to the size and shape of this thing, the Work-it also makes a nifty hand-held vibrator. Nestle the curve in your hand and glide the vibe right where you want it. The rounded nub can easily tease any erogenous zone you can think of. Keep it low for gentle teasing or power it all the way up to send yourself or your partner into orbit. While it’s recommended that you don’t use it internally, the rounded tip and soft silicone would work fine on all those external spots that respond well to powerful vibrations. The Work-it is waterproof, so take it into the shower, bath or pool. The toy cleans up with a little soap and hot water.

I’d recommend Work-it to anyone who enjoys vibrating cock rings and wants one that can be easily recharged and lasts for long sessions.
