After all the cock rings I’ve tried over the years, the Ring O cock ring from Screaming O still remains one of my favorites.
I mentioned this ring in the past, when putting together my post: 5 Great Cock Rings for Beginners. I still stand by my recommendation that the Ring O is a great ring for guys who want to try a cock ring for the first time, and here’s why:
The Ring O rings are very affordable. Probably the least expensive of any cock ring I’ve ever tried. They are small – less than an inch and a half in its unstretched state – but very stretchy. Well, within reason. If you play with your Ring O often or try to stretch it too far (e.g. you’re freakishly hung, lucky you!), it’s probably going to break. All of the ones I’ve had in the past have broken. Does this make me sad? Not really, because I usually keep a few on hand. The benefits to these rings outweigh the fact that they have a limited life. And what are the benefits?
In addition to being very affordable, the Ring O rings go on easily. Even with flexible or “stretchy” rings, sometimes it’s a struggle to put them on. If you’ve never worn a cock ring before, the traditional way to put it on is to stretch the ring over your penis (ideally when it’s flaccid), and then pull each of your balls through the hole, so the ring rests firmly against the base of the penis and behind the balls. This will keep the blood that flows into your penis to make it erect from flowing back out…thus keeping your cock nice and hard. At least that’s the way we’re hoping it’ll work. Like all sex toys, sometimes different toys react in varying ways with different bodies. For me, it’s hard to get my nuts to push through the hole many cock rings, so the fact that the Ring O is pretty stretchy always means I can elongate it enough to get my dick and balls through without catching any skin (or a stubborn testicle) in the ring. As a side note, sometimes a guy’s pubic hair likes to get caught in a ring, especially the rubber/stretchy ones. If you find this is a problem for you, you might want to give yourself a little trim near the base of your penis and/or around your balls. Carefully. You don’t want any painful nicks or cuts. But a bit of trimming will not only help prevent the ring from getting “hung up,” but it’ll make the ring look nicer once it’s in place. If you’re wearing a ring during sex, you’ll be surprised at how many comments you can get. Which brings me to another benefit of keeping a few of these on hand.
If you’re messing around with other guys, they will want to wear your ring. Especially if they’ve never tried a cock ring before. The Ring O rings are packed in a colorful (see through) package, kind of like a condom. You can keep extras near the bed or wherever you like to stash your “goodies.” If and when another guy asks about it, you can easily pull out a new one and let him have a try. (You won’t get it back, though, so keep enough on hand for your own future uses.)
Another benefit to the Ring O rings is they are stretchy. Yeah, I already mentioned that. Easier on. But…the stretchiness means you can get them off more easily, too. Why does this matter? When many guys wear a cock ring, the crimping at the base of your cock can become uncomfortable, even painful after a prolonged period. Try to remove a solid ring (or even a less stretchy one) when your dick has swollen up and your balls are aching. It’s tough, if not impossible. To prevent an embarrassing injury (seriously, you don’t want to be squirting blood when you cum), you ideally want a ring you can remove as soon as it starts to feel uncomfortable. The Ring O is easily removed when you need to. I usually pull mine off a few times during sex, just to give my cock a rest. And even if your dick is still pretty swollen without the ring on, you can stretch the Ring O over your erection to put it back in place.
So if you’re a first timer, or you want a ring that’s easy to get on (and off), and don’t want to spend a fortune on a cock ring, give the Screaming O Ring O a try. They won’t last forever, but you might end up liking them enough where you always keeps a few on hand. I know I do. And it’s a great toy to add to a larger sex toy order, when you need to spend a few bucks more to be eligible for a free shipping deal. That’s usually how I end up with a surplus of Ring O rings.
