Avant Pride Rainbow Dildo

This rainbow Pride – Freedom dildo is one of six new toys from Blush Novelties’ Avant line. Each is made of body-safe silicone and each one is styled with colors taken from various pride flags. The rainbow gay pride flag is probably the most well-known pride flag, so it only makes sense to use it for one of these toys. I was excited to be asked to review this new dildo for Peepshow Toys. Peepshow Toys likes to offer their customers high quality toys made of safer materials and you can find all six of the new Pride items in their collection. I reviewed the leather pride-themed butt plug last week, and this time around I’m taking on the dildo.

Like the butt plug, the dildo is made entirely of silicone. It’s non-porous, odorless, and designed to last a long long time. This dildo is called “Freedom,” and – as I stated earlier – the bright colors are taken from the rainbow pride flag. If you like to display rainbow-themed items, you may just want to keep this little guy out in the open between uses. There’s a nice wide suction cup base that makes the dildo stand easily upright. Like the butt plug, the silicone used in this toy is super soft and makes the toy quite bendy.  As you can see from the photos, the dildo sports a fairly wide lower shaft (4-inch circumference) which grows even wider as you move your way up. See that bulge in the blue stripe? That’s about 4.5 inches in circumference. The shaft quickly narrows to a 3-inch circumference at its skinniest section, then tops out with another bulge at the tip. The end of this dildo not only has a nice curve, but a rounded knob angled for prostate stimulation.  This section of the toy measures around 4 inches in circumference. The insertable length of the dildo is 5.25 inches, which doesn’t make the Freedom model an overly large toy, but it’s definitely longer than many prostate massagers, so if you’re specifically looking for something to hit your P-spot, this one should reach it easily.

If you tend to prefer firm or even solid toys for prostate massage, you may have a tough time achieving the desired effect with this particular dildo. As I said, the silicone is very soft and pretty flexible, so you won’t get an overly solid sensation while bearing down on it.  The supple nature of the toy does makes it comfortable to insert and easy to work itself all the way in to the base. Be sure to use a good water-based lube, and lots of it. I like Sliquid Naturals Sassy lube, which has a nice thick consistency and doesn’t run all over everything while you’re trying to use it.

I had more fun sliding the dildo in and out than pushing it all the way in and squeezing it. It’s a great toy for thrusting, especially if you’re not looking for something overly long or thick. With the swollen curve on the tip, you should get some enjoyable prostate massage while moving the dildo in and out, and the bottom bulge creates some nice sensations when it pops in and out of your hole. You can even try twisting the toy completely around once it’s inside you. Due to the unique shape, you’ll experience slightly different sensations depending on which you have it angled. It’s so soft and bendable that it probably isn’t going to give you any discomfort, even if you have the knob turned away from your P-spot. The anal-safe base is plenty wide and has a nice curve to it to make it extra comfortable for long sessions. While you’re thrusting, press against the base with your fingers and push the dildo even deeper into your ass. I enjoyed the best prostate sensations this way.

Even though it doesn’t look overly like a suction cup, the base is actually a suction cup, and it works great. If you think thrusting the toy is fun, you should anchor the dildo against a suitable surface (floor, wall, chair, shower tile…) and ride it. Careful not to lose your balance, because you’ll be focusing on how nice it feels to ride this thing. Again, it’s not a huge dildo, but guys who like more slender toys should enjoy this one. Due to its gentle texture and flexibility, it would be a nice choice for an anal beginner, too.

All in all, the Avant Pride Freedom dildo was a fun little toy. The design and colors are whimsical and the softness really makes for a nice change if you need a break from harder, stiffer sex toys. Bring it along to your next pride function, and you might just find yourself a new friend to celebrate with!
